Detail Information

Scope

1.1.1 This Code applies to the facilities, technology and inspection for manufacturing of LP gas or city gas cooling and heating appliances coming under the following (1) to (3) (cooling appliances or cooling and heating appliances which supply cold water or hot water separately or simultaneously from one unit by applying adsorption refrigeration principle; hereinafter referred to as “cooling and heating appliances”) among the combustion facilities in conformity to the Enforcement Regulation of the Safety Control and Business of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Act (hereinafter referred to as “Enforcement Regulation”), Table 3, No. 10 and Table 7, No.4, i <Revised on November 4, 2015>:
(1) The total heat input is not over 232.6 kW (200,000 kcal/h).
(2) The working gas pressure is not over 3.3 kPa.
(3) The operating pressure in the cooling and heating appliance is higher than atmospheric pressure.

1.1.2 Combustion facilities excluded from gas appliances to be licensed in accordance with the Enforcement Regulation, Table 7, No. 5, b are as follows:
(1) Gas torches for welding and cutting,
(2) Drying furnace combustors used in casting sand driers, printing ink driers and concrete driers,
(3) Combustors for heat treatment furnaces or heating furnaces such as metal heat treatment furnaces, glass and ceramic furnaces, controlled atmosphere gas producer furnaces,
(4) Combustors for melting furnaces such as metal melting furnaces, glass melting furnaces, etc.,
(5) Combustors attached to and used with gas cylinders of which internal volume is less than 100 mL, and
(6) Other combustors recognized by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy that they do not hinder safety control. <Revised on September 29, 2017>
