Detail Information

Scope

1.1.1 This Code applies to the facilities, technology and inspection for manufacturing of gas Stirling engine heat and power boilers (hereinafter referred to as “heat and power boilers”) coming under the following (1) and (2) among the heat and power boilers in conformity to the Enforcement Regulation of the Safety Control and Business of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Act (hereinafter referred to as “Enforcement Regulation”), Table 3, No. 14 and Table 7, No.4, m<Revised on November 4, 2015>:
(1) Heat and power boilers of which total heat input is not over 70 kW(60,000 kcal/h) on the basis of gross heating value (gross heating value based on 0℃ and 1 atm; hereinafter the same shall apply unless otherwise specified), and
(2) The Stirling engine is used as the prime mover for power generation

1.1.2 Combustion facilities excluded from gas appliances to be licensed in accordance with the Enforcement Regulation, Table 7, No. 5, b are as follows:
(1) Gas torches for welding and cutting,
(2) Drying furnace combustors used in casting sand driers, printing ink driers and concrete driers,
(3) Combustors for heat treatment furnaces or heating furnaces such as metal heat treatment furnaces, glass and ceramic furnaces, controlled atmosphere gas producing furnaces,
(4) Combustors for melting furnaces such as metal melting furnaces, glass melting furnaces, etc.,
(5) Combustors attached to and used with gas cylinders of which internal volume is less than 100 mL, and
(6) Other combustors recognized by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy that they do not hinder safety control. <Revised on September 29, 2017>
